HOW TO USE APPLIQUES
Appliques can be supplied in symmetrical pairs or individually. A lot of lace appliques are actually handmade but there are many machine made variations too. The base is often either tulle or mesh and the designs are often floral or botanical. Our customers also use appliques in jewelry manufacture, wedding and evening shoes and handbag design. Primarily they are used to embellish wedding dresses, communion dresses, Christening gowns and of course veils. We offer small flower appliques that are sold in bags of 10 that are perfect for adding small details to a child's dress or a wedding veil.
QUALITY LACE APPLIQUES TO SEW ONTO DRESSES
Our lace applique and crystal motifs are of extremely high quality and create a fabulous finishing touch. These beautiful wedding dress embellishments, as used by top fashion designers, are transforming wedding gowns into flamboyant, dramatic creations, bringing glamour, sophistication and a dazzling sense of drama to both aisle and catwalk. The base of the appliques is usually a close knit tulle which makes them very easy to sew on to an existing dress or garment. Depending on the size of the applique and the embellishment determines whether hand sewing or machine sewing is the best option. Either technique is easy though.
HOW TO SEW LACE APPLIQUES
Our lace appliques are primarily made with a tulle base or are a woven lace which makes them very easy to sew. The shape and size of the appliques usually requires hand sewing as it can be quite fiddly. Many of the appliques are also embellished with beads or sequins so with these we also recommend hand sewing. We offer sampling or our lace appliques, so it is possible to order a sample and handle the product for yourself, checking the quality, design, size and handle before ordering.
