Our most popular lining fabric available in a large range of 46 colors is a polyester anti-static lining fabric called Eclipse. This a fabric that 'does the job' and because of its anti-static properties is a favourite. It's a lightweight yet crisp fabric and is used for jackets, waistcoats, dresses and boleros.
For wedding dresses we introduced a very lightweigh ivory lining fabric called Kiss which has become a firm favourite of bridal designers across the world. We recommend ordering a sample of this lightweight and floaty polyester lining for a wedding dress. An alternative is silky smooth Trust, which though slightly heavier than Kiss, is still a lightweight and delectable choice for lining a gown. This fabric is and can be used for the outer layer of a dress too as can Sheen, a lovely fluid lightweight lustrous satin fabric.
For a white, ivory or nude stretch lining fabric choose Confidence. This is also a fabulous lining choice for bridesmaids dresses and evening wear as it is available in colors black and champagne too.
We also offer a collection of Habotai silk fabric that is perfect for lining. As a natural fiber, silk Habotai is also a breathable and absorbent fabric so makes an excellent choice as a lining fabric for dresses worn in hot climates or the summer months. If you are concerned about perspiration, perhaps a reception venue with no air conditioning in the summer months, then we recommend a silk Habotai lining.
